Packaging and Shipping

We pay particular attention to the administrative preparation of orders, and to packaging and logistics, in order to ensure that seeds are delivered in perfect condition, anywhere in the world.

Shipping procedure

Depending on the client’s seed requirements, PalmElit or the distributor issues a pro forma invoice indicating the type of planting material proposed, and the cost of the seeds, transport and insurance as far as the destination airport. After confirming the order, the client uses the pro forma invoice to obtain the necessary permit or authorization from all relevant authorities to import the planting material. Once this paperwork has been obtained and the seeds are ready and paid for, they can be shipped by air accompanied by a certificate of origin and a phytosanitary certificate.

Packaging and shipment tracking

Our planting material is shipped in packaging that offers maximum guarantees of protection and conservation.
 Germinated seeds are packed in bags with polystyrene beads. If the order involves several categories of seeds, each of them is packed separately, so that they can subsequently be sown separately.

The boxes and seed packaging used guarantee good insulation from excessive temperature variations. In addition, a standardized recording thermometer is placed in box No. 1 of each seed shipment. It is packed like the seeds in a bag with polystyrene beads and is used to verify and check that there has been no exposure in transit to temperatures likely to affect good seed condition.
